Ingredients of Butter Naan
- 500 grams all-purpose flour/Maida
- ½ tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 1 cup yogurt/curd
- Warm water
- Few chopped coriander leaves
- sesame seeds (optional)
How to make Butter Naan in Home
1. In a bowl add Maida/all-purpose flour, ½ tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1 tablespoon baking soda, 5 tablespoons sugar, mix it.
2. Then add 3 tablespoons oil, 1 cup of yogurt mix everything then add little by little warm water and make a dough. Knead until the dough is soft and elastic.
3. After kneading rub oil in the dough and let it rest for 1-2 hours in a warm place.
4. For the yeast dough, you can rest for 2 hours till the dough rises and look double.
5. After 1-2 hours you will notice that the dough became soft. Now grease your fingers and divide the dough into different parts depending on the size you want.
6. Now make round balls and start rolling one by one roll to the desired size add some water on the one side of the naan while rolling.
7. Place the side that is rubbed with water on the Tava that has to be hot.
8. When you see the bubbles coming out from the naan with the help of a tong flip to the other side cook it directly on the pan or directly over the gas or stove-top.
9. Once you notice the brown dots on the naan remove them and place them on the plate.
10.Now brush melted butter all over the naan and garnish with some sesame seeds and coriander leaves.
